In May 2025, Chelsea defeated Betis 4-1 to win a European club competition trophy for the first time in four years, completing a full set of European honors (European treble grand slam). On July 13 local time, Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain to win the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup title.
