Manchester United officially announced Rúben Amorim's departure yesterday, and paid a high compensation fee for it.

A journalist stated:

"December 2023, INEOS took over the football-related affairs of Manchester United. Since then 👇

They paid £2 million to £3 million to Newcastle United to poach Dan Ashworth (former Manchester United Sporting Director), and a few months later when he left office, they paid nearly £4 million in compensation.

After the controversy over Erik ten Hag's future following the FA Cup, they paid the Dutchman and his team approximately £14.5 million.

Current reports indicate that the total cost of hiring and sacking Rúben Amorim (including compensation to his former club and the termination fee of his contract with Manchester United) will be as high as around £25 million to £30 million.

In the past 24 months, approximately £50 million has been spent.

A new question arises: When will the new stadium start construction?"
