Manchester United have decided to appoint Michael Carrick as caretaker manager—after some key players rejected the return of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Wayne Rooney further addressed the possibility of joining Manchester United’s coaching staff in an interview with Camel Live.
Willingness to Join Carrick’s Coaching Team
When asked if he would be willing to join Michael Carrick’s coaching team if invited, he stated clearly: “Carrick is an extremely intelligent man, and he will earn the respect of the dressing room. If I am invited to join the coaching staff, there is no doubt that I will come on board.”
In addition, Rooney shared his views and suggestions for Manchester United: “I think what the club needs is people who understand it by its side—people like Carrick, Fletcher, myself, and even Roy Keane. The club needs individuals who truly understand it, care about it, and know what it means to be a Manchester United player. I believe that is the right direction the club should take. As I have said before, the club has now lost that sense of identity and home atmosphere.”
