Maresca Bids Farewell to Chelsea: I've Brought Chelsea to Where It Belongs

BlueBridgeGlory

Maresca's Original Statement:

“Leave the world a little better than you found it.”

My Chelsea journey began with the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers. Now, as I leave Stamford Bridge, I do so with a peaceful and calm heart, having left a prestigious club like Chelsea in the position it deserves.

I would like to thank all Chelsea fans for their support over the past 18 months. This support was crucial to us securing Champions League qualification, winning the Europa Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup. These victories will forever be cherished in my heart!

A special thank you goes to all the players who accompanied me on this wonderful journey. I wish everyone who shared every moment with me all the best for the second half of this season and beyond. Thank you, Chelsea.

Before Maresca's departure, Chelsea were in poor form, securing only 1 win in 7 Premier League games, with their ranking dropping from 2nd to 5th in the league.

According to previous reports from Camel Live, Maresca's relationship with Chelsea deteriorated sharply before his departure, and his ties with the club's management were very tense.

Maresca took over as Chelsea head coach in the summer of 2024 and has led the team for just one and a half seasons. Last season, he guided Chelsea to a 4th-place finish in the Premier League, and claimed the Europa Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup titles.
