Ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Liverpool this round, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta spoke about Eberechi Eze, who has not featured in the last four league matches.

Arteta said: “His winning mentality has become even stronger ever since then. You can tell from his training approach that he is eager to succeed and is willing to do everything he can to change my mind and earn more game time. That is absolutely fantastic.
“It is easy for people to expect him to deliver, but considering the level of players we are talking about, it is not an easy task. I am fully confident that we will see Eze at his absolute best in the months ahead.”
As for Eze’s best position on the pitch, Arteta added: “It depends on his connection with the players around him and the type of game we have to play. It is true that he has mostly been deployed on the left flank, but he has also produced some brilliant performances for us both in central areas and even on the right wing.
“He is intelligent and possesses exceptional technical ability, making him capable of playing in any position. I tend to decide his position based on his synergy with teammates rather than locking him down to a fixed role.”
