Real Madrid has officially announced that it has mutually agreed with head coach Xabi Alonso to end his tenure at the club.
According to statistics from Camel Live, Alonso, who spent just 225 days at the helm of Real Madrid, has thus become the shortest-tenured coach Kylian Mbappé has ever worked with in his professional career.
Since Mbappé joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 and now enters his second season at Real Madrid, the French superstar has collaborated with six different head coaches. Apart from Alonso, who had the shortest partnership with him, Unai Emery, Christophe Galtier and Carlo Ancelotti each worked with Mbappé for only one season. Among the remaining two managers, Mauricio Pochettino cooperated with Mbappé for one and a half years, while Thomas Tuchel had the longest partnership with the striker, lasting two and a half years. On average, the club where Mbappé plays changes its head coach every less than one and a half years.
