Hello everyone! Today there is a match between Switzerland and Colombia in the round of 16 in Vancouver, and it is sure to be a tense contest! Switzerland won their group and beat Algeria 2-0 in the last round. They are extremely well organized defensively, very disciplined, and they have stayed in Vancouver the whole time, so they are incredibly fresh. But I do think their attack is a bit too boring at times; they don’t have quite as much flair as Colombia. Colombia also won their group, and they beat Ghana 1-0 last time out. Luis Díaz is absolutely invaluable on the left side, and James Rodríguez creates the coolest passes. They also won the only previous World Cup meeting between the teams. But they have traveled a lot between cities, and there is also a bit of flu in the squad, so I think they are a little more tired than Switzerland. This is sure to be a close match, and I don’t expect a big goal difference. Colombia probably has enough quality to win by one goal, and if it ends in a draw, that would be fine too. That’s why I’m fully backing Colombia -0.25 in today’s match!
