Hey folks! Today it’s finally time for the Round of 16 clash between Argentina and Egypt in Atlanta, and I’m incredibly excited! Argentina are, of course, the best team in the world and won the last World Cup. They won all their group-stage matches, and even though they needed extra time against Cape Verde to advance, they have so much quality all over the pitch. Messi is absolutely magical to watch, and with players like Enzo, Mac Allister, and Lautaro, they always carry a goal threat. And did you know they have won all of their World Cup matches against African teams in a row? That’s seriously impressive. Egypt have made it this far for the very first time ever, which is really cool! But they played the full 120 minutes against Australia and won on penalties, so I think they’re probably quite tired now. Salah is their big star, but he had some issues with his leg in the group stage. The rest of the team are not on the same level, so they will probably sit deep, defend, and try to hit on the counter. It’s likely to be difficult against Argentina. I think Argentina will control the entire match and create a lot of chances. The difference in quality is quite big, so I expect them to win by at least two goals. That’s why I’m going all in on Argentina -1.25 for today’s match.
