FIFA has no intention of scrapping its newly established Peace Prize, which was first presented to former US President Donald Trump last month.

Some had speculated whether the incident involving the US targeting Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro a few weeks later would prompt the headquarters of the world football governing body to reconsider the award.

However, this is believed not to be the case. Insiders have revealed that a second recipient of the Peace Prize will be named later this year.

Meanwhile, the US market has shown a willingness to splash out on tickets—a fact evidenced by the ticket pricing structure of the World Cup—and this trend has been further confirmed by a major event hosted in the United States under FIFA’s purview.

Next Monday, the Miami Hurricanes will take on the top-seeded Indiana Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff National Championship at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

As of Sunday, the cheapest stand tickets for the clash are priced at £2,822. To secure a seat with a decent view for this college showdown, fans will have to pay close to £4,000.
