Manchester City Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth Football Club.

The 26-year-old forward has penned a five-and-a-half-year contract and will play for Manchester City until 2031.

Semenyo’s career has risen meteorically, and he has now established himself as one of the most feared forwards in the Premier League.

Born in London with Ghanaian heritage, Semenyo began his career at Bristol City. To hone his skills, he had loan spells at Bath City, Newport County and Sunderland. After an impressive run of form at Ashton Gate (Bristol City's home ground), Bournemouth recognized his potential and brought him to the Premier League midway through the 2022/23 season, since when his career has gone from strength to strength.

During his time with the Cherries, primarily operating on the left flank of the attacking trio, Semenyo has evolved into one of the most exciting and sought-after attacking wingers in the Premier League.

Now, after making 110 appearances in total for Bournemouth, the Ghanaian international is ready to embark on an exciting new challenge at Manchester City, adding more talent and goal threat to Pep Guardiola’s squad.

He will be available to represent Manchester City immediately and is eligible to feature in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle United next Tuesday.

The 26-year-old Semenyo graduated from Bristol City’s youth academy and has previously played for Newport County, Bristol City, Sunderland and Bournemouth in his career.

Since joining Bournemouth four seasons ago, he has made 110 appearances for the club, contributing 32 goals and 13 assists. This season, Semenyo has registered 10 goals and 3 assists in 21 games across all competitions.
