Napoli defeated AC Milan 2-0 in the Italian Super Cup semi-final today, with multiple players including Rasmus Højlund accepting post-match interviews.

Højlund said in the interview:

“This victory makes me extremely happy, both personally and for the entire team. In a few days, we will have the chance to get our hands on a trophy. Lukaku? Rom and I have a really good relationship, and he has taught me a lot. I hope to see him back on the pitch soon because he is a top-class player. Now we have a great opportunity to win a trophy—anything can happen in the final.”

Giovanni Di Lorenzo talked about the win:

“Putting aside some occasional ups and downs, Napoli has remained competitive this year. Tonight, we delivered an outstanding performance in terms of mentality, attitude, and mutual support. We are delighted, and now we wait to see who our opponent will be in tomorrow night’s final. No matter who it is, they will be a very strong team, and we will fight tooth and nail for victory. I think we played really well tonight—we defended solidly when we needed to, and brought the intensity and aggression required when it mattered.”

Matteo Politano also commented:

"That foul by Rabiot? It hurt a lot on the pitch; it was a tackle from behind, and there was no way he could have reached the ball. However, we accept the referee’s decision and refocused on the game itself. We played an absolutely fantastic match, with exceptional game understanding and execution, and we won almost every one-on-one duel.

"As for the defensive phase, in a game like this, when everyone is willing to defend together—starting from Rasmus—and stay focused and committed, it becomes extremely difficult for the opponent to score against us. We were almost perfect in every aspect today, and I think we fully deserved this victory. We showed great fight and determination today, rediscovering our energy. When we are at our best both physically and mentally, we are a handful for any opponent."
