17-year-old Bayern Munich prodigy Karl sparked heated discussions after publicly stating his desire to join Real Madrid in the future during a Bayern fan event.

As a journalist previously revealed on a program, when Karl was 10 years old, Real Madrid invited him for a trial, but he ultimately did not join the club. The player’s father said he has no regrets about the failed transfer.
The journalist said: “Karl had received an invitation from Real Madrid. At that time, there were regional training camps, one of which was in Großenberg, Aschaffenburg. He participated in the trial from there and successfully advanced to the next round, which was held in Memmingen. He stood out again there and then received an invitation from Real Madrid to showcase himself at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
“As we all know, Karl ultimately failed to join Real Madrid. Later, his father told me that he felt ‘fortunate’ about it because he thought Real Madrid was not focusing on his son at all, but was negotiating contracts for large player agencies. That’s why the deal ultimately fell through, and looking back, the Karl family has no regrets at all.”
