Recently, former Manchester United player Ben Foster and former Tottenham Hotspur player Jermaine Jenas shared their views on Arsenal player Viktor Gyökeres during an interview with Camel Live.
Ben Foster said: "I really admire Gyökeres. He can score goals, and I think he has always had the ability to find the net. But intuitively, Gyökeres may not be the kind of technically refined player, is he?"
"Gyökeres is the type of striker who likes to drift behind defenders and is good at making runs into the box to create threats. But Arsenal is not a team with this style, right? They haven’t played this way for a long time."
Jenas also agreed with this, saying: "I actually admire Gyökeres, but the problem is that when you watch Arsenal’s games, you’ll find that in such a team with a flamboyant playing style, Gyökeres stands out as particularly out of place."
"Every Arsenal player has excellent technique: William Saliba and Jurriën Timber can pass smoothly, and of course there are Martin Ødegaard, Eberechi Eze, and the wingers. The entire team’s playing style is highly entertaining."
"Yet Gyökeres is a physically strong and highly impactful striker. In last weekend’s game against Newcastle, he didn’t score, but I’m sure the opponent’s center-backs genuinely felt the pressure when facing him."

Sometimes, fans may not notice those under-the-radar movements—for example, when the ball is being passed quickly around the edge of the penalty area, Gyökeres always appears in the right place to finish with a tap-in. And from what I recall, Arsenal hasn’t had a player good at 'poaching goals' like this in a long time."
