Manchester United officially announced that Ruben Amorim has stepped down from his position as the club's manager, with Darren Fletcher named as the interim boss.

The English midfielder had previously made up his mind to leave the club he has been with since childhood this month if Ruben Amorim remained in charge – after all, he has not earned a single Premier League start so far this season.

A number of top European clubs, including Antonio Conte's Napoli, have expressed interest in loaning the 20-year-old midfielder. But according to sources close to the academy graduate who spoke to Camel Live, Mainoo has now informed the club of his willingness to stay and fight for a spot in the first team.
