Jorge Mas, owner of Inter Miami, has once again expressed his desire for the club to compete in the Copa Libertadores.

Inter Miami won the MLS Cup last season, and this season they aim to compete for more trophies and hope to take part in the Copa Libertadores. On Wednesday, Jorge Mas stated: “I am eager to participate in the Copa Libertadores. I believe that the MLS champions and Liga MX champions should both qualify for the Copa Libertadores. This is a matter between CONCACAF and CONMEBOL.”

Jorge Mas went on to say: “I have spoken with Alejandro Domínguez, President of CONMEBOL, and we both agree that if Inter Miami can participate in the Copa Libertadores, it would be beneficial for CONMEBOL, the competition itself, and our club. Of course, how to arrange the schedule is a matter that needs to be considered.”

Jorge Mas also stated: “I am in discussions with Victor Montagliani, President of CONCACAF. We still need to consider the schedule details, but we are currently in talks to see what happens next. Without a doubt, for me, my players and our captain, the opportunity to participate in the Copa Libertadores would be a great thing for football across the entire Americas.”
